Making Failure your Friend, or at least a respected acquaintance.

herostory podcast Feb 27, 2019

Do you love failure as much as I do?

Okay, I lie, I don’t love failure, but I do love what it brings.

You see, failure is the admission one pays for mastery.

In today’s podcast, I share the four steps to turn failure into your friend (or at least a respected acquaintance).

And here they are:

  1. Be honest with yourself that you don’t like failure and therefore you tend to it.
  2. Journal and Reflect: What went wrong? What went right? What Mindset did I bring in? What can I learn/do different?
  3. If it still stings, turn to a friend, a mentor, or a counsellor.
  4. When can I fail again? (schedule it)

And here is the question from today’s episode:

  • What do you need to fail at until you master it?
